Stories From the Ones that Don’t Write

“I have to tell a story? No way.”

That was my first reaction when storytelling came to me in many different ways. I thought that writers are people who were born with extraordinary writing skills and they started writing from the moment they found a pen. But suddenly I realised that writers are people just like me, but there was only one big difference. They HAVE tried writing and I HAVE NOT.

My name is Aleksandar and this will be my first blog post ever in my life. It was really difficult experience because I haven’t stop thinking for 24 hours since I wrote my first letter and I thought my brain would explode. First of all I want to share you who the f*ck I am and then why I started writing stories from my life.

So let the journey begin.

I am 19 years old from the wonderful Bulgaria. I am just starting my studying with specialty “Business Administration” in “Sofia University”. My professional career started when I finished my software development education when I was 16. I enrolled from the one of the top places for learning software engineering in Bulgaria. That was Telerik Academy. I am really thankful to these guys because when started I only knew how to play Counter-Strike and after 12 months of tough work, I learned how to really create a software at the top level.
When I was 16 I also started my first job. I am really happy of the fact that I started something that I really want to do not just a random job to earn money. I started working as a web developer in a company called Enhancv. They were a startup in that moment and these years gave me the best experience I’ve ever had. I went through the whole process of developing a “small startup” and creating it “an organization”. There were funny moments but also there were tough moments like “Guys we can’t give you full salary this month we ran out of money” but that was no problem for Enhancv team because we all believed in the cause. There are so many interesting things about me like the fact that I am a professional magician and so on. But I don’t want to put everything here so if you follow me you will definitely learn more about me.

So you totally couldn’t find writing I all this bunch of information. Why do I do that?

The moment I realized that I should start a blog was when I met one bulgarian guy that does a podcast for successful people in Bulgaria. It is called “Superhuman” (“Свръхчовекът” in Bulgarian). Every time I feel unconfident or with lack of motivation, I just play one episode and after that I am telling to myself “Wow, these people are awesome, I can also do that”. My start of telling stories didn’t come from the podcast at all but from meeting him and telling him how I feel while listening to these awesome people. When I told him that, I felt amazing. I think you all know the moment when you share something that helped you a lot to others. I can’t even explain it in details but when I saw that he liked my story and it made impact for him to have more and more interesting guests, I realized that if there was only one person that liked listening to/reading my story there could be more, definitely. But if it happens that only one person reads the things I am writing I will also be fine, because it makes me happy.

Finishing with strange ending..

I really didn’t know how to finish this blog post, but I also didn’t know how to start it so I will try to make it somehow. So thank you for reading, I hope you liked it. I know that there are so many people that want to start writing but since today they haven’t tried yet. So go make an account and share what you have. I am sure that there are so many things I can also share so keep in touch by following me on Medium or on the social networks.
